How do I get my doors and windows installed?

Your General Contractor will install your system.

We are building an ever-expanding library of resources to which you and your contractor will have access.

Are your glass door systems hard to install?

Short answer, no!

When we launched Glass Expanse, we manufactured and installed our systems. So as we grew, we had to make the installation process as simple as possible.

We design our doors for easy, modular installation. A competent contractor will have no problem with our systems.

Do you have a list of contractors who have worked with your doors and windows?

A local, reputable construction company will have no issues with our doors and windows. However, if you’re stuck, our sales team may be able to help.

How long does it take to get my doors delivered?

The current production time to ship is 8 weeks. The Glass Expanse team will ensure you know where your doors are at each major step of the process.

How does delivery work?

With duct tape and bubble wrap.

We use a combination of our team and vetted local delivery companies to get your glass doors exactly where they need to be at the right time.

Is the product energy efficient?

Our glass is dual-pane with low e-coating and argon gas insulated making the glass energy efficient. Low-E coatings have been developed to minimize the amount of ultraviolet and infrared light that can pass through glass without compromising the amount of visible light that is transmitted.

Are your doors and windows storm or hurricane-rated?

While our doors and windows are not hurricane rated, the design pressure rating (DP) is 35, which correlates to a 108 MPH wind rating.

What is your STC rating?

Our system’s Sound Transmission Class (STC) is equal to 35.

Do you do the demo work?

We are a manufacturing company, not a construction company, so we ask your General Contractor to prepare the worksite and install your doors and windows.

How secure is the system, and is it lockable?

We use tempered (safety) glass in all our panels, and our patented wheel technology ensures that the doors cannot be removed from the tracks.

Our standard product is lockable from the inside with keyed options available.

Are the panels easy to operate?

Yes, our patented bearing configuration enables all panels to slide effortlessly.

What sizes are available?

All systems are custom-made to order, with a maximum height of 10 feet and a maximum width of 40 feet. The minimum width for windows is 5′ and 6′ for doors.

What colors are available?

All systems come standard with black anodized frames and handles.

Is your system compatible with insect screens?

Yes, with numerous options both motorized and manual.

Can I recess the lower track to be flush with the floor?

Yes, in some configurations the lower track can be mounted flush with the interior floor.

Is it top or bottom supported?

Each unit is completely top hung to allow for smooth operation in all conditions. Gone are the days of hard-to-operate, bottom-supported sliders that are affected by any dust is in the bottom track.

What material are your frames made of?

All of our frames are made of Aluminum 6063-T6.

Are there finance options availble?

Yes! We partner with GreenSky to offer competitive financing options.

Do your doors work inside or in commercial settings?

Of course! Conference rooms, restaurants, office partitions, and lounge areas are perfect spaces for our doors. We’ve even had schools reach out to separate classrooms. Cool.

Is your product Title 24 compliant?

Our product can comply with Title 24 regulations using the performance path.
